Agent
who cannot use the AutoUpdate form, or security level problems?
|
To
use the
Relocation
Specialist Web Version software, all users must
be running Microsoft Internet Explorer v5.5 or higher, and must be using
the DEFAULT settings. Any
other setting besides the default settings for all options may cause
errors or problems. If you are
experiencing problems running the ReloSpec software, do the following from
within the Internet Explorer browser window:
1.
Click HELP, About Internet Explorer.
The version should be 5.5 or higher.
If it isn’t you must obtain the free update from Microsoft which
may be found at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.asp
- From
the browser window, click Tools,
Internet Option…. Click
the Security tab and select ‘Internet’ web content zone.
If the ‘security level for this zone’ is not set to
‘Medium’, click the ‘Default Level’ button.
- Select
the ‘Local Intranet’ icon in the Web content zone.
If the ‘security level’ for this zone’ is not set to
‘Medium-low’, click the ‘Default Level’ button.
- Click
the ‘Privacy’ tab. If
the privacy setting is not set to Medium, click the ‘Default’
button.
- Click
the Content tab. Click the
‘AutoComplete’ button. The
‘Forms’ checkbox should NOT have a checkmark in it.
- Click
the Advanced tab. Click
the ‘Restore Defaults’ button.
- Click
the ‘Apply’ button in the bottom right of the page.
Then, click ‘OK’.
This
should enable all default levels and correct whatever problems exist with
the browser.

I
am having trouble adding a new record? |
The most common
error on input is to enter text into a number Field such as [
Price
Range
from], [Price Range to] and [Annual Income].
The best solution is to click ADD NEW and put only the client name and
click 'Add New Record'. That will start the record and get things started.
Then, click UPDATE and fill in all the other fields. If you are entering
something incorrectly, it will show up while doing an update. This is a
sure-fire way to get the record in and identify where they were entering
something incorrectly.

How
do I duplicate a Transferee’s File?
|
This
feature is very handy when you have the same client as an incoming and an
outgoing file. Once you have
put in the initial referral you would then take the following steps to
duplicate the information:
1)
Make sure you are on the file you
wish to Copy.
2)
Click the Red Copy Button on the
top of your screen.
3)
Make any changes you wish (like
changing the referral type, or adding the number 2 and a new agent (to
track multiple agents).
4)
Click Add New at the bottom of the
screen.

Having
a Problem adding a new agent? |
The
ADD NEW, DELETE, UDPATE and DOWNLOAD navigation buttons have been deleted
from the 'Lookup from Agents table' link due to new Security levels being
added to the software.
If the user needs to add a new agent, he/she should use the AGENTS link at
the left side of the Referrals List. Once the security is in place,
if the user is a member of the User group, they won't be able to ADD NEW,
etc. If they are a member of Manager or Admin they will be able to
ADD NEW, etc.

If
I remove a name from the Users table, will his/her name remain in the
referrral? |
Yes.
If you remove a person’s name from the Users table, it does not affect
the Referrals that may contain that person’s name.
The same is true with Agents. If
you remove an agent’s name from the Agents table, the name remains in
the referral.

I have entered a
Name and Password in the Users table but it doesn't work when I try to
login to the database. Why not? |
There
are two places where the ID and Password must be entered; my Internet
database that I control and your Users table that you control.
I control who gets through the Internet and has access to your
database. You control what
they can do after they login.
The
reason why you couldn't login using your ID and Password is because though
you entered it in your Users table, it hadn't been entered in my Internet
database.

My
calendar won’t open/or error message when clicking on one of the links?
|
Most
likely you have a pop-up blocker (security software) running on your
computer. The simplest way to
test for this is to hold down the “Ctrl” button while you click on the
link. If the page appears you
have pop-up software running on your PC and this must be removed or you
can override it with the “Ctrl” feature.
The
calendar also will not work correctly if you do not have Java running on
your PC. The browser must allow Cookies and Javascript should be enabled
Recent
updates to the WindowsXP SP2 have automatically added the anti-popup
software and many people don't know it's running. You can view the
option in the Internet window, Tools, Popup Blocker.

How
do I send a “Mass Email” to all of our Contacts?
|
Create
the email first. Then, open your Contacts table and click DOWNLOAD
and SAVE. That will put a copy of the Contacts on your local PC.
(You may want to use the SEARCH button and filter the records as needed
prior to downloading and saving.) Using MS Excel, open the file you just saved and highlight the column
containing all the email addresses. Right-click the fields with the
email addresses and click COPY. Return to the email and in the BCC
field right-click and click PASTE. Then SEND.

How do I send a
"Mass Mailing" to Contacts or
Referrals?
|
First,
create
the letter using MS Word. Then, open your Contacts (or
Referrals) table. Filter (SEARCH) the table as needed, then click DOWNLOAD
and SAVE. That will put a copy of all the records on your local PC.
Using MS Word, open the letter you created and click Tools, Letters and
Mailings, Mail Merge Wizard and follow the prompts to set up the Mail
Merge. When at the step to identify the file to use for the names,
addresses, etc, be sure to change the 'Files of Type' droplist setting to
'Text Files (*.csv).

How
do I assign a 2nd Agent to the same Transferee? |
On
the left-hand side of your screen (from the main Referral Page) you will
notice a link that says “Alt Agents”.
Here you can put in the name of a 2nd Agent.
However if both agents are actively working on the file and you are
corresponding frequently with both, it may make more sense to duplicate
this transferee’s record and title the 2nd file Jane Smith2.
This way when you search for “Jane Smith” both files will come
up.

How
do I change settings for my Popup Blocker? |
In
Relocation Specialist there are a few pages that are used as pop-ups, and
unless you have your pop-up blocker settings correct you not be able to
view these valuable pages. These instructions apply to the Internet
Explorer pop-up blocker settings.
From
the Internet Explorer window, click Tools, Pop-up Blocker, Pop-up Blocker
Settings... In the 'Address of website to allow' box, type "rs.prosws.com"
and click 'Add'. Click Close.

I've changed my
Internet Explorer settings and my ReloSpec pop-ups
are still blocked. Why? |
Though
you may have changed the Internet Explorer Pop-up settings, you may still
have other software running in your browser window that is blocking your
pop-ups. Common examples of pop-up blocker software are additional
toolbars from Yahoo! or from Google. If you have these additional
toolbars, be sure you also have them set to allow pop-ups from "rs.prosws.com".
A
second possible cause is that the User Group is not set correctly.
This is possible for users who have upgraded to the web version from the
server version. The User Group setting for the administrative level
for those people is "Admins", though the setting in the Users
table appears as "Admin". The solution is to open the
Users table (Main Menu, Utility Settings, Users), select the record, click
UPDATE, then click UPDATE CURRENT RECORD. That will change the value
that is saved to "Admin" and allow the pop-up pages to work
after logging out and logging back in to ReloSpec.

Can I backup
my table(s) to my local PC? |
Although
your database is backed up every night to tape and to the web server's
hard drive, it is possible to backup your data to your local PC.
This is possible by opening the appropriate page and clicking the DOWNLOAD
button. For example, if you want the entire Referrals table you can
open the 'Referrals List' page, click DOWNLOAD and SAVE the records to a
folder on your PC. The records will be saved in a .CSV (Comma
Separated Value) format which can be read by Microsoft Excel, Word or most
database programs. Other tables you may want to download are your
Agents and Contacts.
