Application Software and Data Overview New Installation, Configuration and Setup
Welcome to the best relocation tracking software in the world! This web-based software will enable you to track all your relocation activities, send update requests to agents automatically, have the agent's responses added to the database, send formatted customized forms, print detailed reports and so much more! With each new installation of the software, we include a Basic training course that is taught over the Internet and lasts about an hour. This User Guide is meant to supplement what you'll learn during your class(es).
Application Software and Data Overview Since this version of Relocation Specialist (ReloSpec) is web-based, all the ASP applications pages, forms and reports, as well as all of your data is stored on the ReloSpec web server. There is no need to perform data backups at your location since that is done for you each day at the ReloSpec server facility. All data is backup up to tape as well as to a separate hard disk drive. All tapes are stored off-site in a fire-proof vault. Though your company's data is stored on our servers, you always have access to your data 24/7. And, you do not need our permission or any special steps to download any or all of your company's data. We will never hold your data "hostage". We make it easy for you to import and/or export data to and from your own company's database.
New Installation, Configuration and Setup With all new installations of the Relocation Specialist software, the database is created, arrangements are made for data conversion when needed, and classes are scheduled. Since Relocation Specialist is web-based, there is nothing to install on your local PC. All that is needed is access to the Internet. Though other browsers may work, we always recommend use of Microsoft's Internet Explorer as your browser.
The optional Report Generator software requires use of Microsoft Access97 or higher software on the PC. If you do not have Access97 or higher already loaded on your PC, a run-time version of Access97 will be provided at no additional charge. No additional software is needed to run Report Generator. Purchase of Report Generator includes the installation and configuration of the software as well as a training class.
The optional eGrabber software is loaded on the PC and is not web-based. eGrabber is used to "grab" leads from other sources, write them to a temporary file on your PC, then use ReloSpec to upload the record(s) in the file to database on the web. Purchase of eGrabber includes the installation and configuration of the software as well as a training class.
